Illinois Valley Striders Bridge to Bridge Run – CommUNITY in Motion

The Illinois River is a precious natural resource that helps define Central Illinois. Physically and metaphorically, several bridges unite each side of the river. In cooperation with the Tri-County Regional Planning Commission, the Illinois Department of Transportation, and the Cities of East Peoria and Peoria; the Illinois Valley Striders is pleased to introduce the Bridge to Bridge Run - a unique four mile running/walking event that features two major bridges. The Bridge to Bridge Run starts on Kumpf Boulevard near the Peoria Civic Center, crosses the Illinois River over the Robert Michel Bridge, tours the new Downtown East Peoria, returns to Peoria over the Cedar Street Bridge, continues through the Peoria Warehouse District, and finishes inside Peoria Chiefs Stadium (formerly O'Brien Field) with a Post-Race Party featuring refreshments and entertainment.
